Mattias Segerholt was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden and spent much of his childhood summers on an island.

He gained interest in photography and design while tagging along with his sister, a 1980’s fashion model, on advertising shoots in Paris, Milan and Tokyo.

After completing his MFA at Rhode Island School of Design Mattias began his career as a creative, starting in Los Angeles and moving to Portland to work as a Creative Director for Wieden + Kennedy.

His passion for understanding semiotics and the strategy behind the brief led Mattias to ZIBA Design, eventually becoming Director of Creative Insights there in 2017.

His lives in Portland with his wife, two daughters and Rottweiler, Tuva.
